A trial of a scanner that produces "naked" images of passengers has begun at Manchester Airport.

The authorities say it will speed up security checks by quickly revealing any concealed weapons or explosives.

But the full body scans will also show up breast enlargements, body piercings and a clear black-and-white outline of passengers' genitals.

Some people were saying that it was an infringement of civil liberties. I for one would rather have an x ray taken than have some spotty tosser patting me up/down/all over. That is something that I really don't like.

It could have been much worse, BM could have landed at Manchester. I doubt any amount of counselling could have helped with that level of trauma eeek:
