The Brat has just come home with handful of stickers of her favourite boy band, underpant showing, bling tastic heartthrobs ::)
So I gently ask where did you get the money from to buy those ...knowing full well I had given her ?20 this morning for her lunch money for the week.
"Oh yeah I used my lunch money " she said "I'm going to go without lunch for a couple of days " Banghead
Now I know we used to have these things but we didn't have the internet then and access to every picture that the current idol had ever been in - just a pointless waste of money nowadays .
And next month this group of baby oiled up mannequins will be soooooo pass?e

Pay Dinner Money (Why oh why can they not call it "Lunch" which is what it really is? ~ But that is another gripe) direct to the school .... We did this termly by cheque to prevent exactly the sort of abuse you are talking about.. It also stops theft and bullying.

Stuff all that.
BUTTY'S. Simp's really.

I don't remember collecting anything other than a load of caterpillars just before we went away on holiday for some reason the jar that I had put them in without food was somewhat rank two weeks later, never did quite understand that. noooo: My two eldest did the whole Pokemon thing and the two younger ones did 'sea monkeys' now they were weired, children as well as creatures.

We couldn't afford stickers... sad24:
And my dad would never go to the 'expensive' garages for his petrol, the ones that gave the collecting coins and things away... noooo:
And we weren't allowed to buy Typhoo Tea that had cards with it either - just cheap tea for us...

'ang on a minute ~ My Dad didn't even have a car when I was a kid evil:
He didn't get his first car until I'd left home. In fact I had a car before he did.
When I was a nipper in our street there were only three vehicles, one was me Uncle Jack's Bread Van, one was the Water-board man's company van and the last belonged to Mr Wilson who was an insurance company manager. The milkman and the road sweepers used horse and cart. No not a small rural village backwater but in the middle of Southampton.
Mind you me Mum used to give me the cards out of the tea and Dad used to let me have the cards out of his ciggies whistle:

You had a dad ...you lucky bastard lol: lol: lol:

Well My Dad worked a 27 hour shift int'pit every day, cycled 129miles to get there and still had change for a fish supper and 56 pints of beer
