Thought I'd have our own exclusive thread for us desperate worn out ear bent parents of teenagers to let the steam out. Explode:
I was going out for a meal with my one and only good and long standing mate last night.
Young Growler was acting as chauffeur so I could have a few scoops.
I asked Mini Moose what she'd like for tea before I departed, and I said I'd put it in the oven for her while she's tapping away on FaceAche.
Breaded chicken and chips then, nice and easy. Put the oven on to warm up.
5 minutes later I ask her what she'd like for veg? Some nice garden peas p'raps?
"Well you seem to have taken over, so do what you want" Angry9:
Oven off, breaded chicken back in the fridge, chips back in the freezer, goodbye, and get your own bloody tea ready. evil:

I had to buy The Brat a new battery for her laptop as the other had completely burnt out ( I wonder why noooo: )
So ?55 quid later it arrived yesterday.
Gave it to her and say now replace the old one and don't keep your laptop plugged it at all times.

Eldest daughter (39) is very wrapped up in her own THW these days
Eldest son (42) was a total pain, gave him a job once and he robbed me blind but it is hard to call in the police when it's your first born. Upshot was that Mrs S#2 and I lost our "retirement" house on the Isle of Wight and the pub there as well but we accepted it and got on with our lives. I then found him a job with my old employers who I eventually returned to work for myself but had to keep digging him out of trouble there. Finally we had "WORDS" and he hasn't spoken to me since (nearly 12 years now).
I look forward to similar problems when the THW finally leaves the nest. Dunno about the boys yet. Early days, no doubt they will cause problems but somehow I don't expect them to be as much trouble (Those may come under the heading of "Famous last words")

But I solved the problem by leaving home at fifteen and a half to join the RAF as a Boy Entrant. Parents only saw me twice in the next four years by which time service life had knocked some semblance of sense into me.

Young Growler jnr is generally a very good lad who works bloody hard and keeps his room unbelievably neat and tidy. Bit of a pedantic old wumman in many ways, but I luv him loads. cloud9:

I don't think I was - in fact I know I wasn't - which is prolly part of the problem now . I expect her to behave in the same way and she is sooooooo totally different to how I was as a teenager.

Latest from the THW, who I may have mentioned has turned vegetarian in sympathy with her bf who has been veggy all his life, is that she doesn't want to eat meat on Christmas day. Fair enough, she doesn't want to eat meat at any time, we accept that.
SOOOOOOOOOoooooooooo ........... Last evening we were discussing the Christmas menus. I asked the assembled children when they wanted their Christmas dinner, options being either at about 2pm or in the evening. I cautioned that I would be most displeased if they opted for evening and then spent all day picking at food and guzzling chocs etc rendering them "Too full" to eat the main meal. Minor said he would prefer to eat in the evening, which I have to say would be the choice of both parents but we had decided to let them choose. Minimus said he would probably be too tired to eat come evening and would likely fall asleep in front of the TV (he does a good line in falling asleep into his plate given half a chance). THW said she INSISTED that it was Christmas Lunch and why did we want to interfere with the traditions she had grown up with eeek:
So I poured oil onto the troubled waters saying that we were asking what they wanted, we were not saying what we wanted but given the morning rituals of phoning the whole freaking world and his dog on Christmas morning and remembering last Christmas Day when she threw a strop when told to get off the phone to come and eat we had thought we ought to "consult"....... "After all you are no longer little children are you? Your mother and I thought you might like to have a say in what happens"

Me(Taking a deep breath): "So we have one wanting an evening meal and two wanting to have it at lunchtime. Sorry Minor but it looks like a 2pm target has been agreed"
"Fine" says Minor and turns back to his game on the Wii.
Then she starts ................ "What are we having?"

THW: "I don't want that"
Me: "We know .......... so what would you like instead?"
THW Long pause ........... "Macaroni Cheese and toast"
SWWLTBO Explode: and leaves room with face like thatsit:.
And I say ....... "We are cooking a full meal, that will include Roast Potatoes, Roast Parsnips, Butter Beans, Sprouts, Carrots, Peas, Runner Beans, Mashed Potato, Sage and Onion Stuffing, Cranberry & Orange Sauce, Bread Sauce and for those that want it, Roast Goose with Bacon and Sausage Rolls. This will be followed by Sorbet, Christmas Pudding with Cream and Brandy Butter, Cheese Board and Crackers with Grapes, Mints and coffee. There will be wine for the adults and port to have with the cheese. Your mother will probably drink sherry before the meal and I will have Gin and Tonic. ........... Now given that your plate WILL contain Roast Potatoes, Roast Parsnips, Butter Beans, Sprouts, Carrots, Peas, Runner Beans, Mashed Potato, Sage and Onion Stuffing, with the option to help yourself to Cranberry & Orange Sauce and Bread Sauce as desired the question is what do you want us to prepare as a substitute for the meat which we readily accept you don't want?"
THW: "I don't want any Christmas Dinner cooked with meat ~ I want Macaroni Cheese and Toast which is my favourite"
I called her an ungrateful brat and asked if she was deliberately trying to spoil everyone's enjoyment of Christmas as she had with last year's tantrums. I went on to ask if she really expected her mother to be happy at having to prepare Macaroni Cheese and Toast when she was also cooking such a Christmas Dinner. I reminded her that the cooker has only four rings and two ovens and that whilst popping a simple substitute (Nut Cutlet or similar) into the oven for her to have instead of the meat was not a problem cooking an entirely separate meal would be.
THW: "Well ..... If you can't be bothered then I'll cook my own"
Me (Not unreasonably I thought) "So where do you plan to install your own cooker then?"
THW (in injured tones of incredulity) "You are saying I can't use the cooker in the kitchen?" .
"No dear, I am telling you that the logistics just don't work, but surely with all your GCSEs you can work that out" eveilgrin:
Left her to stew whilst I went into the kitchen from whence I could hear the sounds of crashing cupboard doors as pots &pans were being thrown into them, attempted to mollify SWWLTBO by offering her a glass of something. She replied "Give me the bloody bottle and I'll go and beat her to fecking death with it". Poured SWWLTBO a very large malt and went back to THW.
"Right" I said, brightly "That's sorted then, Christmas lunch/dinner will be served at 1400 hrs on the due day and you madam will have Macaroni Cheese, toast and Roast Potatoes, Roast Parsnips, Butter Beans, Sprouts, Carrots, Peas, Runner Beans, Mashed Potato, Sage and Onion Stuffing, with the option to help yourself to Cranberry & Orange Sauce and Bread Sauce. That is the end of the debate ~ Go to your room and bloody tidy it ....NOW!"

The Brat, as we established earlier, was having her friend over to stay tonight ...last day at school tomorrow ( half day and all that , wear your own clothes scam ::) ) . So I bought them their chinese in - I suppose at least I got a thanks for that and then they have been up in her bedroom straightening their hair and stuff. Went upstairs and told her to open her window a bit as the steam and smell of burning hair was a bit overwhelming noooo:
Just after ten o clock they both come downstairs - The Brat says her friend has decided to go home as she has forgotten her black jeans to wear to school tomorrow. Now she lives a fair way away and would have to wait for a bus ( as I don't have a car) and it is freezing. So I said I don't think that's a good idea and has she told her mum that she intends to do this

I get the girl to phone her mum there and then and confirm she is happy with this - which apparently she is Shrugs: So off she toddles - quarter past 10 at night , in the cold .
When she has gone I have just had a complete tirade from The Brat about showing her up - it's not a big deal to be out at that time of night... it is me that has the problem ...yet I can come home late and not worry about it ..it's alright for you but not for me kinda thing etc etc etc
Everybody else apparently has it so much easier than her because they don't have to say where they are going , what time they are expected home etc - poor, poor Brat

Following a similar "debate" I compiled, with the help of the www, a list of recent rapes, abductions,murders etc and showed the result to the THW, pointing out that I had no desire to be called to the local hospital to identify her remains. All quiet here this morning following late last nights near riot between these two.
Smallest and most trivial of things kicks them off between each other, and then I get accused of not backing them up in turn when I tell them that they are both as bad as each other.
Trouble is, they aren't little kiddywinks anymore, and fists are now used. The spite and most venemous of hatred between the two has to be seen to be believed sometimes. eeek:

I must have been very lucky i dont remember much teenage hassle with my daughter, boys were a lot easier i tell you.
mine all grown up an left, live in three differant places in uk, so tis the peaceful life for us. getting our xmas visit from daughter and son in law to be today as they stay in wales for xmas. just me Tg an my younger veggy son(he having nut roast- no hassles) and our three cats on xmas day.....so anyone who wants a escape from teens feel free to visit.......... cloud9:

Her dad has just bought her home ...well a couple of hours ago (after a change of arrangements today at her request as I was meant to pick her up much earlier) . Then we were trying to make arrangements for the rest of the week as in when he can see her etc ....she had obviously already made plans with her mates - without thinking of telling anyone noooo: and then went ballistic telling us we couldn't force her to do anything she didn't want to do . She had rights ::) blah , blah , blah.
Her dad went mad at her scared2:
She copped the strop - banging of every door in the house ...and then the stand off commenced.
He wouldn't go until she had calmed down and he could talk to her about her attitude ....she is a direct descendant of a donkey ( not on my side you understand angel1 ) and absolutely refused to budge, say sorry , admit she had done anything wrong etc etc etc .

Today I am likely to be arrested by the police or taken for interviewing by Social Services
All because I informed madam she would have to go to school today as unfortunately for her the school had text to say business as normal. What followed can only be described as a monumental catastrophic disagreement .
She is now going to report me to the police for bruising her arm and for throwing her half way across the room . This of course in reality is me moving her from her doorway when she was refusing to budge by the arm. She should count herself lucky because quite frankly murder charges might have been more appropriate this morning

Added to the normal problems you also have a whole generation of teachers and labour politicians (and labour aren't the only ones but they are the ones who have presided for the last 12 years) who specialise in telling children that they have rights, that parents are bad, that the state knows best etc etc.
I am not looking to start an argument about smacking but it didn't happen in my teen years and the only difference I can see is that children nowadays have acquired "rights" without learning about responsibility, nobody wallops them any more, not parents nor teachers. Discipline is the answer but how we get it back I have no idea.

I have a reasonable relationship with both my son and daughter. And, as far as I can tell, so does their mother. We were fairly strict when they were sproglets but they were never particularly 'naughty' anyway. Whether it's 'nature', 'nuture' or just plain luck they've both turned out to be good kids. (so far)

I am genuinely pleased that this is the case for you Uncle M - honestly - and hope it continues.
I don't particularly want to be self pitying but I do feel like it is such hard work at the moment. I do feel guilty that I am at work a lot but what is the alternative ?. She is old enough and mature enough to start thinking about others instead of herself all the time but sadly she chooses not to. She has a selective memory that only consists of what she wants to hear.
I live in hope that this will change in the next few years.

I know at one point one of my friends moved in with us for a month because her Mum and her were at each other's throats all the time, it wasn't terribly healthy for either of them. Whilst it wasn't an easy decision for her Mum to make she decided that if she didn't do it she was going to ruin the relationship irrevocably.
As to whether she would go or not, don't give her the choice. She goes or she loses everything. Pocket money, laptop, tv, bedroom door. Alternatively can you not go elsewhere and her Dad move in if she is refusing to go anywhere or is that too icky?

Moving the Brat in with her dad for a month is not a bad idea. Mrs S#1 fought tooth and nail for custody but within weeks was on the phone begging us to have daughter to live with us "before I kill her". We worked out a system where the girl came to us for all school hols and half term breaks. That way her mother only had her for a max of 6 weeks or so without a break. We also agreed on rools that ALL would enforce.

Anyway, a slightly encouraging and optomistic incident on Friday night here.
Miss Moose had arranged to have a sleep over with one of her friends at scooooell.
Her taxi (bruvver cloud9: ) took her down to the local station to meet her, as she lives in the 'Pool, and had arranged to meet her friend and take MM back to Kerrrby where she lives with her mum and sisters. Lives with her gran more locally during the week apparently.
Any'ow, Growler Jnr. drops her off and comes home in the greatest of anticipations as to what the two of us were going to get up to whilst the Mooseie were both away...yipee! Sinister:

Through the blubber filled werds, it seems that, unbeknowingly, her friend had also invited another gerl who the MM has had major problems with over the years, bullying and generally nasty, but goes to a different scoooeell now, the full chav girl, full tango rinse, belt only pretending to be a frock, and demanding a visit to the offy for booze and fags before setting off. ::)
Now give Mini Moose her due, she is most definately NOT like that at all. noooo:
She was so horrified at having to spend the weekend in her company that she had to make her excuses and come home.
I have actually applauded her for having the foresight and intelligence to make her own mind up and act accordingly in a grown up and responsible manner.
Far too easy to simply 'go with the flow' to keep the peace.
She's shown that she can be trusted now as far as I'm concerned, and that makes me a happy old Bear.

Mini Moose has been very subdued since Friday night. She says nowt is wrong but I can sense something is.
Probably getting a bit of grief of some of the witches gerls in her form.
Told her again that I'm very proud of her for standing on her own two feet and making a sound and instant judgement of a situtation.

point: Youngster! We didn't have discos when I was at school ..... we had dances with real live bands ~ but never at school; nothing would have persuaded any of us back through those doors once the bell had gone. I cannot understand modern kids who are always hanging around their school. In my day it was a race between pupils and teachers as to who could get out of the gate first.

ENOUGH ALREADY!
This morning, after a fortnight of threats, rows and a lot of shouting by me, Mrs S#2 and I decided to muck out the THW's room. 59 empty or half empty drinks containers including some which had once contained milk but now with butter/cheese growing in them, 30 Sandwich packs from Co-op near school mostly with one sandwich eaten and the other going very mouldy. Oldest one we found had a sell by of October 2nd 2009. Crisp packets and biscuits wrappers too numerous to count. 73 Chocolate wrappers.
In addition we found 17 plates, 14 glasses and 12 mugs/cups.
Enough spoons, knives and forks to set a table for 6 people (None of which matches any of our cutlery rubschin:)
8 towels in various states of mildew growth (5 we have thrown away)
1 Watch (missing for 6 months, claimed stolen at school)
27 pairs of knickers and 13 bras.
Her mother's missing cardigan and a blouse that her mother has been looking for since the Autumn.
All this under one bed cussing:
Tonight we expect to hear that we have "Invaded her privacy" ~ I shall probably smite her a mighty blow about the ear. Explode:

Today is just turning into an absolute fffing corker cussing:

Madam comes downstairs and asks how my day was ....so you know somethings up right rubschin:
Apparently she was ironing something for school this morning and burnt her finger so went to run it under cold water. However she put the iron flat down on the carpet in the hallway......and then forgot it until the lovely aroma of singeing carpet filled the house. The carpet now has a lovely iron shaped hole in it. The iron has a welded on new fur covering ( I only bought the iron a couple of months ago )
Everything is just left exactly as it was - no attempt to clean it up
When I go ballistic - as is my right - I am accused of not caring about her burnt finger - which by the way shows no sign of any injury - yet !!!!!!

Just returned home
Madam comes downstairs and asks how my day was ....so you know somethings up right rubschin:
Apparently she was ironing something for school this morning and burnt her finger so went to run it under cold water. However she put the iron flat down on the carpet in the hallway......and then forgot it until the lovely aroma of singeing carpet filled the house. The carpet now has a lovely iron shaped hole in it. The iron has a welded on new fur covering ( I only bought the iron a couple of months ago )
Everything is just left exactly as it was - no attempt to clean it up
When I go ballistic - as is my right - I am accused of not caring about her burnt finger - which by the way shows no sign of any injury - yet !!!!!!
I am pouring myself the largest glass of collapso possible - in fact I might just put a straw in the bottle noooo:

The Brat has just returned home after a weekend at her dad's
She came in with a bit of attitude about something or other and I said something and she gave me some rude comeback and did the ol whateva routine noooo: noooo: noooo:
He gave her a warning about her behaviour and told her to stop it or she would be coming home with him again . Silly cow refused to listen and did the roll the eyes to the ceiling and flick through a magazine and one point stifled a pretend yawn whilst her dad was saying something.
That's it - he blew a gasket - told her to get her school stuff and get back in the car. We have just had 20 minutes of absolute screaming ffffing blue murder as she thrashed , cried and slagged us both off.
He took her house keys off her so she can't come back here tomorrow and has to go to school and they have just left.
All over absolutely nothing. If she has to pick her battles she picked the wrong bloody one tonight

Her dad has 'confiscated' her because he works from home quite a bit. Therefore she will not have the freedom and accessibility to all her things that she takes for granted now. Her friends will not be able to come over in the mornings ( after I have left for work ) and in the evenings ( until I get home from work) .

Hard enough having two parents on hand dealing with these selfish petulant little girly sprogs, so being on your own with one must be absolute hell sometimes/most times/constantly.
On saying that, I seem to be being left on my own with MM regulary these days too.

Darwin is right. I speak as one with a daughter of (nearly) 40 and another who is nearly 17.
Mothers are the enemy in many cases simply because they are competition for Dad's affections. In your situation I appreciate that this generalisation is not applicable.
As for Growler's problems ~ classic case again of hell having no fury like a woman scorned or in his case a daughter who he is trying to protect but she sees it as him trying to restrict her and prevent her from growing up.
A thought that does occur is that the Brat will act up at the moment simply because she too is worried about Grandmother but being immature (emotionally) she handles it with aggression.
Aggression is taught in schools ~ they call it assertiveness but they too don't allow for the emotional immaturity of their students.
You are depicted as the enemy at school, by her peer group, by the teaching staff, by government etc etc. They all advise assertiveness.

Major bust up between these two reprobates tonight.
MM decides to delete G jnr from her Faceache account.
G Jnr takes massive exception to this and kicks of BIG time.
I'm TRYING to watch the match. Mrs G decided to go to her pit for an early night to read.
These two then launch themselves into a verbal battle, and with the ranting gradually turning into a cresendo, all suddenly goes very briefly quiet.
Micro seconds later, crashing scuffling and screaming.
I jump up and find the two of them hurling fists at each other, stuff flying and two foaming at the mouth teenagers.
Mrs G chooses to ignore it and stays put in her friggin' pit.
I lose my temper bellowing for them both to seperate and be quiet, and end up gasping for breath with a pounding heart.
I'm at my wits end. The two of them blaming each other and accusing me of taking sides.
I've told them both that having a dog is now completely out of the question as it would be terrified having to exist amongst these rapidly growing and regular bust ups between them both.
I'm seriously considering getting out of here and leaving them to kill each other before they manage to kill me due to the stress it's causing me.
I am very very seriously pissed off, and am at a total and utter loss as to what I should do for the best now.
All I know is that this CANNOT continue....but I've said that before...several times.
They are both now out of control towards each other, and Mrs G is of absolute no help whatsoever.
Seroiusly, HELP is required.
I've never seen so much total and quite honestly, frightening absolute hatred and venom than when these two kick off with each other, ever.

Growler if it's any consolation my brother and I used to have some real hum dingers. Whether it was over what TV program to watch, borrowing stuff without asking, invading personal space or just breathing.
We had regular arguments and frequently these became physical. I would shut doors in his face ; he would dangle me over the top banister. Although younger than me he was a hell of a lot stronger . If you would have asked me then I would have quite happily said I hated and detested him on those occasions.
This culminated one day in one god almighty fight where we literally were trying to kill each other. eeek:
We look back on these times now and laugh about it. I love him to bits and although still a wind up merchant I can handle him now. Where he used to make me see red he now makes me laugh . He is very different to me in what he liked and disliked and although close in age I could never understand that when we were kids.

We (THW & I) do not appear to be speaking this week.
At the diner table on Saturday the boys were, once again, asking me if they could have a dog .... so the conversation turned to what type of dog.
The THW, who had hitherto not said a word to anyone, chimed up with the suggestion that we should get some bloody enormous foreign breed of animal on the grounds that it was her boyfriend's favourite breed.
I replied that I was not in the business of buying an fecking dog just because her bf liked the breed.
"If he likes them so much", I enquired, "why doesn't he have one?".
"Because his parents wont have one in the house" was the reply.

School bus is scheduled to leave the stop (50 yards from our front door) at 0830. Sometimes it goes a couple of minutes early but as far as I am concerned it would be unreasonable to expect the driver to be tuned into the clock on the THW's MacBook.
This morning, as with most other mornings, the THW switched on her hair dryer at 0828 Banghead
Once again her mother had to drive her to school. Neither daughter nor her mother will see my point that this is simply a way of avoiding catching the bus in a deliberate attempt to ensure she gets a lift.

Girls take pictures all the time because they can (mobile phones etc) The Hugging is not new but there seems to be a current craze of hugging and air kissing every time they meet. I guess it comes from the behaviour of their idols in the magazines and so forth. If Jo-lo does it they wanna do it. ::) Locally the boys are as bad but I find that more excusable ~ at least it's a way for a teenage, spotted youth, to get his arms round a girl.

Unbelievably, Growler jnr's new job (that he starts next Monday) caused a major row here tonight.
We've been badgering him to ask if his 'old' job vacancy could possibly be filled by MM.
He keeps saying he's forgotton to ask, so as he was going to have to tell his dept. today that he's officially leaving them next Sunday we reminded him again last night.
As soon as MM saw him she obviously asked, only to be told that he'd "forgotton again".

My children got on fairly well most of the time the two eldest were very close to each other, the two eldest were close to the youngest. Child number three is a tad weird and tends to be up her own arse and very pompous so she was the one that lost out most of the time and knowing her as I do I am not surprised.

Brother Wench and I hated each other. Physical fights, taunts really really nasty. It has taken an awful long time but now we are really close. I left home and things improved and things got better from there. So there is hope I promise.

Actually The THW threw other reasons into the equation (a word she cannot spell let alone define) and that is "Teaching is well paid (Starting salary around £21,000 these days and rising) AND when I have children I can drop out of the career and pick it up again when I'm ready unlike a lot of careers"

The school removed the bike racks three years ago as "modern children do not cycle to school". That was 3 months before the same county council spent £3/4 million on creating a network of cycle paths with the High School at the hub. censored:

I thought I would start off by being nice and offered to make her brekky. She screwed her face up and then said what she wanted to eat. delivered to her at the computer where she is doing last minute homework she 'forgot' she had .
I am working from home ... she has to leave the house by 8. 5 past 8 stomping around and then she storms into the room " Where have you put my purse" .
Haven't touched it or seen it I politely and helpfully inform my little angel.

What is really annoying me is that the THW, accompanied by her mother, is doing the rounds of universities. Every fecking weekend they are off somewhere or other, with hands held out for cash to pay for hotels, petrol, eating out, a new outfit every time for the THW as she cannot risk being seen by any possible future fellow students wearing the same as she wore last week/month etc ..... like they are going to remember come next October ::) (I keep telling her all students dress the same anyway)
But the real pisser is that not once have the words "thank you Dad" passed her lips.

I visited daughter number three yesterday. She is sharing a house with three other students. They all seem great kids.
A small thing I know but whilst doing the obligatory tour of the property I noticed that all of the food and all of the toiletries were the expensive branded 'stuff' not one supermarkets own brand did I see. noooo:

I gather that universities these days recommend that students in their first year share accommodation in "Halls" and all those that THW has visited suggest pooling resources with your "flat mates" and shop on line from local supermarkets and get their food etc delivered. This, the unis say, has reduced many of the "That's my box of cornflakes" arguments that used to occur but I can see that the downside would be a tendency to buy items that everyone in the group recognises and those are likely to be "Named Brands" ..... until the money starts to run short ~ they'll learn.
It will also be the case that many will have been victualled by parents, this being "Freshers Week" and most Mums will have gone for the up-market brands as a form of showing off .... only they call it "not letting my daughter down"

They have decided to split up. Both seem to think things will be hunky dory.
It won't. Son will have a lot of growing up to do when he says, 'I don't want to pay for electricity that I am not using' and CSA bloke says they are your children you have to pay and you should have kept your willie in your pants.

There is no point in being in a fury they will do what they want to do but the fact remains that it will be hard. Harder for DIL than my son and given that they live in the highlands there is not much I can do to help.
My son may well decide to walk away from his responsibilities and that will be a huge disappointment. His 18 month old son has Downs syndrome and will be a responsibility far beyond the usual age, if he lives into adulthood. noooo:

She will be 18 in June and has been badgering her mother for us to go on holiday to Holland where we used to spend her birthdays when she was younger so I have booked a holiday in Holland for the May/June half term which includes her birthday.
Additionally she is off to Poland with the Skool in Feb. Cost of three day trip for one is as much as 5 of us going to Holland for a week!
I have also been paying for driving lessons (£1200 to date and counting ~ test in two weeks) ~ those were her 17th Birthday present.
Yesterday we had rellies visiting so she stayed in bed until noon, grunted hello when they appeared. Ate with us, helping herself to a glass of wine before anyone had been offered it. Finished her grub in double quick time and taking another glass of wine (emptying the bottle) vanished into the gloom of her bedroom and did not reappear until rellies had left ("They are sooooooo boring"). She then announced that one of us had to drive her to Prestatyn to attend a party of someone she has always professed to loath ... Oh and did her mother have any "spare gifts" that she could take as 2 of the girls were celebrating their birthdays. At 10.30 she texted her mother to say she would be staying for a little longer than -planned but someone's mother would bring her home ... could we however wait up as she hadn't taken a handbag and thus had no door key with her. Finally arrived home at ten past midnight.
She then announced that she was "starving" and would her mother get her some supper. No please, kiss my arse or anything.
As she munched the sandwich SWWLTBO had prepared she announced that she and two friends were going to Dublin for a couple of days to celebrate one of the other's 18th AND that she had decided that she would be content with a BBQ party for her friends for her 18th Birthday celebration.
I pointed out that we would be in Holland as requested for her birthday but apparently that doesn't count.
SWWLTBO asked who would be paying for the trip to Dublin and the BBQ party.
THW looked blank ~ "You surely don't begrudge me?"
Seeing my face and in an attempt to head me off SWWLTBO asked if the THW had made any inroads into seeking employment during the summer when she finishes school and before she goes to uni.

Today she has persuaded her mother to take her shopping for clothes suitable for Poland in February.

Opened a letter from the school addressed to me, informing me of their concerns regarding her behaviour and then put it in a plastic bag in her bedroom . But because she is a lazy scum ball she has just left said plastic bag exactly where it dropped, along with all her other worldly feckin possessions, so when I went in for a clean up have found letter.
She has been recalled from a day out with her friends and is on her way back now. She keeps texting asking what she has done ....I have simply said get your arse home I am not prepared to talk about it til you get here as this will just give you opportunity to compile some total bollocks which I am not interested in evil:

The THW's school text both wife and I comments and confirm by letter addressed to me via snail mail. If a child has only one parent in evidence they ask for the number of a friend of the parent to whom they may send a second copy of any texts pertaining to absence.
They have been caught out too many times in the past by kids intercepting letters of compliant.
I suggest you ask the Brat's school to copy this system. It does effectively cover "working parents" who may not be there when unexplained absence is reported. They text by 11.30 on the day of absence from the register.

My science teacher is the worst teacher ever. She always picks on me for e.g. Everyone will be talking but i will get the blame because im 'rude' and i answer back.
She pick on all the quiet people in the class who don't answer back to her fibs but i answer back because she cant say anything wrong about me and not expect me to answer her back. I know it's wrong.One great man once said 'If you dont stand for something, you will fall for anything'. Therefore i stand up for myself if i'm right, ofcourse.
She made a mistake and i heard her and corrected her, she told me to stnd outside and said that i should not 'interrupt' and that she knew it wasn't that but just 'said it'. This is always happening know and i'm fed up of it because i am like the scapegoat.
My response, "Are you 13?" was greeted with the angry retort, "NO, I am 12." scared2:
