I always thought Scarlett was his first name and Pimpernel was his second name. Are you telling me I've been wrong all these years?
-
his actual name is Paul Metcalfe.. it gets more and more annoying..
"Captain Scarlet & The Mysterons is set in the year 2068. The real name of the titular hero is Paul Metcalfe but we know him as Captain Scarlet"

I know it is probably rude to interrupt this apparently private conversation you are having with yourself Berek but may I ask WTF started this rant?
-
Berek Jnr was watching Capt Scarlet this morning ( the new CGI version ) and one of the characters kept calling Cpt Scarlet "Paul ", so I had to do some digging around.
Its totally ruined the mystery of the character censored:

Thank you ~ I shall rest easier for knowing that. ::)
-
I hate to tell you Berek but I seem to remember his name being mentioned in the original supermarionation series.
-
Ah yes, "Supermarionation". What a daft term for puppets with strings and wooden lips!
Does anyone know if Fireball XL5 exists on DVD? I loved that.
Zoony the Lazoon became a kind of role model redface:

Thinking about it, it could have been worse. He could have been called Will drumroll:

Supercar was a bit, er, ...........wooden (Mike Mercury et al), but Four Feather Falls.
I always worried with Fireball XL5 that the rockets were so loud. Surely in space no one can hear you go vrooooooooom?
Showing my age now lol:

The first tv I watched was when I was About 7. Small screen, 8-10 inches set in a very large wooden cabinet.
-
Sparky and the Magic Piano was a recording. Oft played on Saturday Mornings by "Uncle Mac" and later by Ed "Stewpot" Stewart.

. . . when I was About 7. . . 8-10 inches . . .
worthy: worthy: worthy:
I am impressed!
If only you had a large chest to put it in instead of a wooden cabinet. ;)
