I have had a visit from Miss Denbighshire  cloud9:

She sat in my study and chatted ....... she was very flattering 'cos she wants me to do an article on her for the next issue of the Village Magazine.

She is 19, her name is Emily and she is very pretty.  eyes:

The plan is that she will give me details and a photo and I will publish these to attract sponsorship for her charity appeal as she goes forward to the Miss Wales competition.

What amazed me most was that SWWLTBO answered the door, showed the child in to my study, shut the door and LEFT US ALONE! eeek:

When it arrives I shall share her picture with my bessy mates   cloud9:

TBH I was gobsmacked as I remember her as a gawky 12 year old on a pony. She has walked past my front window for the last 8 years going to catch the school bus and I had never given her a glance. Keeerist! ~ What a change growing up has made.

I am currently arranging a "work experience" place for the daughter of a friend; I remember her chewing toffees and playing with her Mum's lipstick aged 8.

Nah! ~ TBH she came over as a sweet kid. Not at all what I would have expected. Joking apart I was impressed by her unmade-up prettiness, her honest ambition and her politeness. The growing up came as a surprise as well as an unwelcome reminder of my own advancing years.
