Title: Growler and BM's dedicated off roading thread.
Post by: GROWLER on April 20, 2010, 08:27:52 AM
No stupid comments required from Nick either thank you....just in case like. ::)

Here we go then mud pluckers. cloud9:
Last Sunday's 20 miler near Lake Vyrnwy. Little mud, but plenty of dust. Most pleasant day out over resonably easy terrain.

This is the river crossing where I had a big barney 2 months ago cus I refused to go in until the exit was clear.
Same arguement semi-erupted again this time too, bloody toss pots. ::)

Water was signicantly deeper last time. A mere trickle on Sunday.

I'll have you know, the LR lads were and always are well impressed when they see it charging through the undergrowth mud and 'ills, where even they are wary of.

Nearly 3 years of ownership and abuse, and it was a cat C write off rebuild too don't forget, and apart from knackered wheel bearings due to gritty/sandy wading probably, and a leaky shocker it hasn't ever let me down. It's really awesome off road. It still suprises me where it will go sometimes tbqath.
Compare it alongside that absolute heap of dire durge called a Land rover Discovery that I was unfortunate enough to own for nearly 2 years, with constant electrical problems and break downs, and there is absolutely no comparison or doubt as to what I would and would not buy in the future.

Oh yes!

I'm actually quite excited but very pensive.
We are talking a fairly big company in this field that I'm going to be werkin' parallel to here, and I cannot afford to bollox it up.
I'm NOT going to be associated with them initially. and cannot use their logo as it's copyrighted by Toyota GB apparently.

The head honcho seems a really decent easy to talk to fellah and we both got on fine. He said i was asking the right questions that ultimately made his decision to accept me on site a viable proposition.

I'm actually quite chuffed with meself... so far. happy088

I've linked up witj a bloke I know through my full time job who ran his own garage. He's had to pack it in due to too high overheads, but he'd been doing quad bikes as a hobby. and selling them too.
He was the one who put me in rouch with this company whose site I'll be operating from, and he's just rung me to confirm a joint quad and off roading booking in 2 weeks time.
Sweet as a nut. cloud9:
