Ignoring that which precedes my post I can say that given the the expectation that most counts will be delayed this time because of the number of postal votes I shall sleep and enjoy it all in the morning.

Just leaving. Been a full on day but turnout was at least double what it was where I was for a general election
Polling stations running out of ballot papers or staying open after 10pm. How the hell can you run out of ballot papers, each polling station must know how many people can potentially be voting there. Banghead
The Queen is like Heiniken? I know the BBC is dumbing down but that just made me cringe.
Wouldnt it make more sense to have the polling stations open midnight to midnight with the staff running 6 hour shifts. Swap the ballot boxes over at the shift change which means the counts can be done while the stations are still open. Then even if there aren't enough people to take the votes there is a longer period to spread the votes out in.
I may be being cynical here TMR but I'm wondering if the constituencies in question are ones that Labour stands to lose, thus opening the way for a legal challenge.
Her plastic surgeon must be in the rich list by now whistle:

Pathetic that although the Labour party have been handed a humiliating defeat, losing seat after seat after seat to massive swings, they should be able to completely fucking ignore our message and plan to just carry on in Government, deaf to the views of the nation.
Pathetic that the Lib Dems, who rose to fame after a good performance on a television programme, yet who look like ending up with fewer seats than they had before the election, should be in a position to dictate what happens next; to decide who gets power and who gets ignored; to be 'Kingmakers'
Pathetic that the Conservatives, who have had to oppose the most inept, corrupt and incompetent party for years, led by the most widely disliked Prime Minister for years, should still be completely unable to persuade the public to give them even the tiniest of majorities.
The whole fucking thing is pathetic.
Fuck the lot of them.
I see the Farage result isn't due till about 2.30 evil:

If they do combine we will be looking at PR voting in future ~ because they both know that if they put that in place we will never have a Conservative Government again.
Lord Rumba of Rio and Peter Hain have been promoting that idea since 10 o'clock last night, claiming that both they and Gordon have long been supporters of such a change. Kinnock had the nerve to claim he has "Always" supported and campaigned for such a change to the system when he was asked about it earlier this morning. When the interviewer pointed out that he hadn't supported it when he looked like winning a "first past the post election" he came out with all sorts of bulls hit.
Red wine hangover, not good surrender:
The assembly is made up of 60 members. Forty are elected using the first-past-the-post system in constituencies identical to Wales's Westminster seats.
A further 20 are elected from five electoral regions - such as "north Wales", "south Wales central", etc. - with four drawn from each region.
These additional assembly members are chosen from party lists, with numbers decided according to a complicated PR system designed to reward parties that get a large spread of votes which is not concentrated enough to win constituencies outright.
Voters therefore have two votes, which can be cast for different parties, but need not be.
In the last election, for example, Labour won only in constituencies and secured no top-up seats, whereas the Tories only won in one constituency (Monmouth).
Their strength in the assembly is almost entirely dependent on the 10 AMs that the PR system gave them.
A total of 31 seats are needed to form a majority in the assembly, although since an assembly member from the second-biggest party becomes the speaker, and usually does not vote, 30 seats are enough to form a working majority.
Labour won 30 seats in 2003, but no party is likely to do so this time.
Unlike Westminster, elections to the Welsh assembly are fixed for every four years - although under the provisions of the Government of Wales Act 2006, which comes into force after May, an extraordinary election can be called if two-thirds of the assembly vote for it, or if the assembly cannot decide on a first minister.
Newly elected Labour MP Jack Dromey, husband of party deputy leader Harriet Harman, says the country does not want a Conservative government.
