Title: Bruising
Post by: Miss Demeanour on June 13, 2010, 09:08:41 AM
Why do some people bruise easily and others don't  ( notwithstanding any pre existing medical conditions)  ? evil:

I knocked my thigh against the table yesterday and just knew that this morning I would have a souvenir of the occasion  noooo:.

Always been the same  noooo:

My brother on the other hand could have a wardrobe thrown at him ( as I once tried to do ) and walk away without a scratch or a mark  evil:

Be grateful you've never been on blood drugs.

I brusied my fingers, tapping along to a piece of music!

eeek: ...was it thrash metal ?

I know there are medical reasons why some people will experience more bruising  than others,  but on a very general level is it genetic  ?

But then my brother doesn't feckin bruise ever  rubschin:

Is it because I am a girly , girl girl  ::) but then that doesn't necessarily follow through either  rubschin:

Generally, you bruise more easily as you get older and recovery times are slower.

(My dad had a fall a week ago and twisted his ankle - it looks as though someone has used a sledge-hammer on it).

I never really bruised that easily, but now, even on just a kiddies apsirin a day, I found bruises that I can't account for.
