Title: Furnishing advice
Post by: Nick on September 05, 2010, 04:50:09 PM
Need to buy bed, sofa and sofa bed. Any recommendations? Have checked John lewis and so on, but there must be tons of deals on (there always are for some reason).

Help!

Avoid Ikea.

Fine for soft furnishings, plants or even kitchen wares and crockery BUT crap for sofas and beds.

You should be posting this on Yahoo Answers. ::)

You could try Ebay, M and S have a sale on at the moment, depends on how much you want to spend.  There are bed specialist stores most of which will have sales on at the moment.

There is a shop in Northampton, or at least there was called Sofa King, the signs all over the windows used to make me chuckle every time, they were along the lines of 'prices here are Sofaking low'!

Hat coat door?

Bed - Dreams
Sofa - SofaSofa (Welsh, but good prices, quality and delivery) - Mrs Tel recommends them.

You could always buy a separate mattress and bed frame - mattresses are always on  half price sale somewhere and then you can get more of a selection for your preference.

According to the Duchess of Devonshire one should take the greatest care choosing a bed and a pair of shoes because when you are not in one you are in the other.

None that you can remember anyway, or have I got the wrong idea about 'memory foam'?
