It might be wise to see what aerial arrangements there are in place at your new flat.
If, for example, it comes with cable laid on and charged for as part of your service charges (many developments do) then you will not need a Freeview TV. You may find that Freeview is not possible as you may not be permitted to erect an aerial. There may be communal arrangements or you may have to have a Sky dish.
Check it out before you buy.

All much of a muchness really. Deals to be had in Comet and Currys as well as Amazon and Argos. Laskys have some good kit too.

Size and colour are important. In the room I am sitting at the moment I have a 20 inch silver TV. Quite big enough for the size of room and the fact that I also use it as a PC monitor. I went for silver as it is unobtrusive when not in use.

In the main living room where the gaming takes place (Wii etc for the boys) and where the bulk of TV is watched, including DVD, videos & Sky, then there is a 42 inch TV in glossy black as that tends to be a focal point.

I've just given into BT Vision so the boys can have sky sports news. Loving the hard drive recorder on it!

Vision is ok but it is still very limited in what it offers, getting it to work in multiple rooms is a simple upgrade that they still havent done.

Ahhh but then I don't want sky sports so in the bedroom so that really isn't an issue.  ;) More of an unfortunate plus point.

I found a box of cables in the garage ~ I had forgotten about them. In the box, along with the usual collection of PC/Kettle mains connection cables, more telephone extension cables than I could have ever needed and several leads with usb connectors attached I found no fewer than 6 scart leads  eeek:

WTF did they come from because everything requiring a scart lead comes with one? How did I end up with 6 surplus?
