Just about the most pointless of pointless news headlines Banghead
Background .... I like to listen to Desert Island Discs .... always have. Some of the "Castaways" are people of whom I have never heard, some choose music that I don't much like but on the whole I have spent years enjoying the programme. From Roy Plomley's gentle probing, via Sue Lawley arguments with touchy politicians when she has gone a bit to deep into their private lives right up to the lovely Kirsty Young (who I have been known to dream was on the island with me as my luxury item) I have rethought my eight records and luxury item a thousand times as I have listened to others reveal sometimes unexpected sides to their character.
AND NOW OVER TO OUR DESERT ISLAND CORRESPONDENT
So this morning I am listening to the BBC 8 O'clock news and they announce that today's Castaway will be Nick Clegg. I don't actually care much who it will be but am surprised that they then tell me, in the news headlines, that Nick Clegg has chosen recordings by Motorhead and some geezer I'd not heard of and that his luxury item is a cache of cigarettes. Then, having wrecked the whole point of the programme, and just to cap it all the headline reader hands over to their Political Reporter to explain what these revelations mean for the coalition!
If I lived anywhere near Tunbridge Wells I'd be Disgusted and writing to the BBC.
I am not at all happy! evil:
Well Fvck me gently ~ the bastards have also spread it all over their fvcking web site as well!

WHY BBC WHY?

To be fair he has ignored the desires of many thousands of smokers and likened repealing the anti-smoking bill to bringing back hanging...
He is a hypocritical c**t and should be exposed as such at every opportunity.... cussing:
-
You ~ If I may say so, have missed the point entirely.
We could have enjoyed listening to the programme and then decided that he was a c*nt (as if we didn't know already) But OH NO! Auntie BBC has to spoil even that small pleasure.
cussing: BASTARDS!

try as I might I just cant picture him headbanging to The Ace of Spades or somesuck. I can't help but wonder if his PR team were having a laugh and it was meant to be a Radiohead track instead

He prolly listens to stuff whilst in his motorcade and it all got a bit misinterpreted rubschin:
