Title: Scary Movies
Post by: Miss Demeanour on October 26, 2010, 12:17:56 PM
The Brat went to see some Spook flick at the cinema yesterday . She came back full of the gore and how fantastic it was etc etc etc. However for some reason we had to leave all the lights on last night much to my protestations about trying to fall asleep under floodlights  ::)

I am not particularly a fan of jumping out of my skin , or hiding behind cushions and remain tainted from watching The Omen , Rosemary's Baby  and Carrie when I was young (er)

What film has freaked you out ...Love Story is not included  lol:

Shall we just say there was a noticeable hardening in my attitude that I hadn't yet learned to associate with gerls.  redface:

 lol:

The old black and white vampire films did it for me. I used to watch then on Saturday nights with my older brother and sister when our parents were out.

Time Tunnel was a TV programme that was shown in Singapore in the mid-sixties don't know if it was shown over here but scared me.

I went to the cinema to watch the 1st Alien film. There was a scene in the lab , not the chest busting one, but where they thought   the critter in the test tube was a dead un.
The audio goes quiet and you can hear your heart beating. Your brain is yelling at you to prepare yourself for the jumpy moment. You kind of close your eyes but it's taking ages and you open them again just at   the exact time the thing jerks to life and the soundtrack booms into your earlobes.

I screamed so loud people turned round to look at me

Evil Dead 2, not for me but for the mouthy bugger on an army cadet weekend boasting that no horror film could scare him...

Having seen the film previously I waited till just the right moment to clap him on the shoulder.  eveilgrin:

Took a couple of hours to calm him down afterwards.

According to the wireless a few minutes ago, The Shining has been voted the scariest movie with "Here's Johnny" the scariest catchphrase....

I went to the cinema to watch the 1st Alien film.

Saw Alien Resurrection in the cinema.  wasn't the film that scared me but the dozy bint in front. The film had just got to the scene where the queen is bonding with the half human thing she had just given birth to this  half human  when this voice pipes up with "awwww thats so cute, just like me and karl"  eeek:

Obviously from one of the more inbred. Isolated villages.
