Title: Do you still use a diary?
Post by: Miss Demeanour on January 02, 2011, 05:59:29 PM: I was given a diary for Crimbo .

I haven't used one in years but have to say it is most comforting to have a hard copy of all the stuff that I normally rely on my puter calendar to remind me , organise and put numbers in etc.

I may revert back to these in future cloud9:

Are they becoming outdated or do VP'ers still use them ?

They're great aren't they? And they last for ages - I reckon I've got another 328 years before I fill this one up...

Post by: Snoopy on January 03, 2011, 07:08:40 AM: I use a "Pocket" Filofax for appointments etc 'cos things get lost if I save them on the PC (see recent frantic PM's sent when I discovered I had lost some addresses attempting to sort out my virtual address book). Also I find it is a bit of a load to cart a PC around and I don't have an iPod.
THW and Wife both use their iPod thingies but wife also carries a Filofax and keeps details of her appointments, addresses etc in both. She also maintains a Journal, written up every evening, in a 5 year Diary and can tell you what happened in the family's life for the past 15 years.

Of course it's cheaper and less faff just to buy one. Anyway we get sent a free diary every year by a builder we've never given business and I take out the pen to use and put the diary in the bin

We always buy one of those 'tear off half a month at a time, always view 30 days' calendars. They are brilliant but I just don't look at it anymore (she does)
