No but I think it was to be expected that the house clearance and other matters would take more than a day.

Funeral yesterday - I thought she would be back today like... especially as TB is on half term or summat.... scared2:

I came back yesterday - sorry but just haven't felt like being with 'people'
House clearance all done at the weekend sad32: sad32: sad32:
Funeral 9 o clock yesterday morning . Deja vous. Same seats and everything noooo:
Followed by a complete feckin argy bargy evil:
Apparently the funeral director had forgotten to take off my step dad's ring.
His daughter ( from his first marriage) asked after the service where it was ( part of what she was going to keep - but there was lots of other memento's she was having too). The funeral director who was a really lovely bloke was devastated he had not removed it as had been requested when we had our meeting with him.
Then her husband stepped into it ( a recent new addition to the family ::) ) and started getting really feckin aggressive. Demanded they stopped the burning process - 6 mins in already - to get the ring
I lost my rag redface: redface: redface:
Simply couldn't believe that we had just come out of the service standing outside and they are having a feckin argument about the melting point of gold.
I walked off , furious, in the pouring rain.
-
Oh fuck!
-
Thank you for the hugs ...they are much needed

I would like to say unbelievable Miss D but funerals can bring out the worst in people and usually does. Good for you being able to retain your dignity and walk away. You did the right thing lonely though that may have felt. Xx
-
I'd love to say "I can't believe it" Miss D, but unfortunately nothing people do or say these days seems to surprise me. As Miss C rightly said, good on you for retaining your dignity
Good to see you back in here too luv x

Mr brothers came and found me eventually. We showed up at where they were having a bit of a drink and stuff. I didn't say a word to any of them - I seriously thought I was going to punch one or the other of them.

Oh Miss D...sorry to hear that...Look, I'm in Somerset myself tomorrow...pm his name and address and I'll go and give him a 'kiss' from you...

Many moons ago when I was still laying roads Fred Dibnah cloud9: pulled inside our works and asked if he could fill his steam engine up with water from our stand-pipe. He disappeared in the pub across the road, downed two pints and returned just as it was full. Obviously a well practised operation. Thinking back, I wonder how many times/pints he did that in a day rubschin:

Have been watching some of his shows recently, brilliant if slightly flawed bloke. He did some incredible stuff and no one could doubt his passion. I do like a person with passion. eyes:
