I understand that winter is officially over in the UK. Garden Furniture has been spotted in Homebase and B&Q.

The first day of Spring in the UK is 21st March 2011 ... ergo Winter ends at midnight on 20th March. The First Day of Summer is 21st June 2011. In 2012 these dates will move forward by 24 hours and in 2013 they revert by one day to the 2011 dates. It all depends on the tilt of the Earth's Axis.

These dates have long been accepted and are the basis of most calculations regarding seasons although in recent years the Met Office (and what do they know about anything?) have striven to change the dates to the 1st March, 1st June etc mainly I suspect to fall in line with their now discredited views on climate change.

As for Garden furniture ..... It is always in Homebase and B&Q if you look for it.
