According to this piece of research high dose statins make you more likely to develop type 2 diabetes.

I was placed on high dose statins years ago and over a period became too weak to walk, unable to lift anything and developed type 2 diabetes.

Since I refused to take the high dose statins my cholesterol levels have dropped, I have lost the aches and pains in muscles (which even doctors now recognise as a side effect of statins) and regained the ability to move about (although still limited by other factors).

The "cure" is often worse than the illness.

Well I did buy some there but Lil Bruvver "imports" his supplies from Spain and Ireland and gets mine at the same time.

 "Well, very kind of ya, to be sure... wudya get me a cupla thousand?"  says  Mick...

 A week later Paddy comes back with the Ciggies..

 "How much d'I owe ya?" says Mick..

 "Foive Hundred Quid" says Paddy

 "Bloody hell, were did 'ya go?'

 "Butlins"
