My feelings in a nut-shell.

Joy of joys. Always most excellent this sort of news...apart from the new worries it brings...werse with lads.
You buying her a car then?
Growleress is currently having lessons, and she can't pass her test soon enough. ;)
-
No ~ not planning to buy her a car because:
(i) We have three already and no room for more (also we have only three of us who can drive).
(ii) She is off to uni (God willing) in September and 1st year students are NOT permitted cars on campus.
Soooooo ..... She can "borrow" one of the three sat in the drive for the vacations.
Memo to self: Must notify the insurance company that her status as a "named driver" on her mother's car can now be changed from "Learner" to "Qualified"
I may even save a bob or two on the cost of cover. cloud9:

Well done THW.
She will be a lesser worry than a boy in a car anyhow.

Don't really want to piss on your chips, but if you are saying what I think you're saying, you're probably in for a nasty shock.
Full licence holders attract a much higher premium AFTER they've passed their test 'cus they are no longer under supervision, or are you referring to something else that's passed me by? confused:

Indeed!
I have told her that she must not cruise the streets of Rhyl with funky music blaring, one arm draped out of the window, trying to pick up boyz ... She replied "Funky music? I'd need to be playing the March of the Undead in Rhyl!"
So that's another worry I don't have. whistle:

Absolutely. By about 5 times iirc.
On saying that, I have young Growler Jnr who drives like a granny, passed his pass + and IAM all within his first year as a full licence holder.
Super cautious unlike what his tear arse father was at 18/19 whistle:
Had to have extra pages stapled in my paper book licence to fit all the endorsements in at one point. lol:
I WAS bad, very.

Girls are still cheaper to insure than lads, BUT equality is coming next year apparently. Girls insurance will be equalling lads it seems.
Using equality as an excuse for yet another thieving price hike. cussing:
Does anybody actuall like insurance companies?
I now rate then below HMRC, double glazing and car salesmen.
-
Just spoken to the insurance company ....... I had re-insured the car last month for a full year.
They are issuing a new certificate of insurance today showing the THW as "qualified" ..... No increase in premium.
Sometimes it pays to belong to the CSMA cloud9:
By next year, when it comes up for renewal they will no doubt have changed to the new pricing regime but by then she will be gone ~ with, hopefully, a 12 month's worth of No-claims bonus to enjoy.
