Gareth Thomas, formerly of rugby union side Cardiff Blues  The most-capped Wales rugby union player ever winning over 100 international caps in rugby union. He then moved to rugby league (to join the other "poofters")

Here's his very first play in rugby league was this. Substituted after one minute and out for two weeks IIRC  ;D

rubschin: For the Scots to stay down under they need Georgia to beat Argentina by 8 points ......  Unlikely.

Twas a dire game

Changing the points to two for a penalty/conversion and one for a drop goal would encourage more "positive" play. Wilkinson was 12yds out, his forwards were all lined out nicely across to his left and he opted for a drop goal and missed  noooo:

Some claim it's the ball they are using down there ..... but others seem to have adapted to it  shrugs:

Yes, Wilkinson missed the first three "cos of the swirling wind, you don't know which way it's gonna blow next"  Didn't stop the jock slotting his kicks through against the wind though

Loved the bit of commentary by Scott Hastings, "I can't rememer when Wilkinson last missed three kicks in a row"
Nick Mullins - "Me and Phil Vickery can, it was three weeks ago against Argentina"  ;D

 noooo:  noooo:  noooo: Aaaaarrrggghhh!!!!

England look like they've hardly played together, France are playing with flair. Why the hell Toby Flood went for that drop goal is beyond me, twenty odd metres out and 11- 0 down, a try was begging  Banghead

Martin Johnson needs to give the team talk of his life. We can only hope that it's gonna be "a game of two halves"  confused:

I would have loved the French to have won it as it appeared they were the only side that were attacking, but New Zealand JUST soaked up everythiing the French threw at them. Great game

Congratulations to The All Blacks for their win today.

Thank God they started the match with a whistle, not a starting gun, as the French would have surrendered on the spot...

Ever had one of those questions that you want answered, but can't find the answer? But no matter how much you try, the question keeps coming back to haunt you...

All through the Rugby Union world cup as each kick off took place a trumpet would play a few notes, and the crowd would cheer and I couldn't find out what it was (I like to know these things) I noticed they played the same thing at a recent televised football match, and they've just been using the same piece of music throughout the rugby league four nations. Tonight I found out the answer by chance

Two months it's been bugging me  Banghead
