Won't print, and I've reloaded the thingy wotsit too.
All I get is this poxy digital message...
Windows cannot connect to the printer. The print spooler service is not running
Can anyone translate that into Anna log English for me please, preferably with a cure for this rancid heap of techno shite, cus I'm getting quite desperate for the need to print travel documents / boarding tickets off now. Banghead

Get a man in

Short answer is to find the installation disc(s) and reinstall the printer .... that usually works.

I bought mine on BM's recommendation. It was a bastard angry041: angry041: angry041: angry041: and died on me angry041: angry041:

It's vanished, along with the instuctions and box that it all came in. Banghead
I suspect someone launched it....into the tip. ::)
Man beckons. ::)
Why do these messages always assume that you automatically know what they are ramblin' on about ey?
Some of us are Anna Log friendly ONLY. evil:

If you want email them to me, I'll print them and either post them back (you should get them by Thursday/Friday) or you could collect if you are hill walking.
Email address is on me profile..... If you can't find it PM and I'll send it to you.
If I'm posting you'll need to give me an address.

I had to buy a new one from Tesco. BM is an bastard cussing: cussing:

I bought one on BM's recommendation too. Mine is fine , works perfectly well and is well cheap on the ink rubschin:

I had to buy a new one from Tesco. BM is an bastard cussing: cussing:
I have three.
Dell Laser B&W only ..... Ideal for magazine as inkjet is just a bit too fuzzy for mass production
Epson Inkjet 3 in one ...... uses ink like a bastard but gives good reproduction if I need colour
Samsung Laser B&W 3 in one .... cheap on toner (6000 copies for about £35) Mostly used by Woodstock to produce "handouts" for her students but is a good back-up for the magazine.
All came free from IJT Inks when I bought a quantity of Ink and/or toner. You have to buy the inks and toners anyway so why buy a printer? whistle:

Growler, this link takes you to the Kodak support page
http://support.en.kodak.co.uk/app/answers/list/session/L3RpbWUvMTMxNTg2MjY1OC9zaWQvRVFDeFZXRGs%3D%2Fselected%2Ftrue/selected/true/c/890 (http://support.en.kodak.co.uk/app/answers/list/session/L3RpbWUvMTMxNTg2MjY1OC9zaWQvRVFDeFZXRGs%3D%2Fselected%2Ftrue/selected/true/c/890)
Enter the printer model in the search and it should give you the up to date drivers to download.
If it gives you options for 2 different types of driver, the postscript version should be the one for you.
If you havent already got an unzip program this is a good free one
http://www.7-zip.org/ (http://www.7-zip.org/)
Follow the instructions on the webpage to install the new drivers.
Once complete your drivers should be updated and repaired.

Well what's all this about a 'print spooler' then?
Why can't it just come up with a message that sez....GOOSED, speak to the GRUMPYMEISTER.
How it got itself goosed anyway, that's what bugs me. Shrugs:
I shall try your fixes you most excellent and informative geeky geezer.

PICNIC problem.... whistle:

Print spooler not running is not really anything to with drivers, it a Windows Service.
You need to get to the Services panel via Control Panel, find the Print Spooler service and check its status, then try starting it. Hopefully it will then run. May stop on reboot.
Last time I fixed this for someone it was triggered by a badly written virus.

Couldn't get those 'thingy links to werk properly. Suspect it's just me being a bit lot of a I.T. numpty brain tbh. I really couldn't understand them, 'specially the first one. redface:
Strange thing is, it'll print stuff of Werd and that other Office stuff, but just not off anything intermong related. This drwas me to the conclusion that the printer ISN'T goosed at all, it must therefore be this intermong thingy whatsit gubbins machine. Banghead
I'm going to have a good rummage to see if I can find the original disc to re-load. Failing that, Mr Geek my friendly but expensive pooter geek will have to be summonsed. ::)

In your search bar type Googlemail and go to their website
When you get there, click to open a Gmail Account (takes about 60 seconds)
Once you have opened the account go to your old email that won't print.
Hilight the email you are having problems with then Left click on "Forward" and send it to your new Gmail account.
Close AOL email and open Gmail account on your screen. You should find a "Welcome to Gmail" message and your forwarded email which should then be printable.
If it doesn't work you have lost nothing as the original will still be in your AOL Inbox.

Have a look at the print preview button ..when you highlight the print function it should give you a couple of options ...one is print preview. That will show you what it looks like when it is to be printed.
You may need to change your page setup to landscape and it should also have a fit to size function.

In Microsoft Word, click on 'File', and then click on 'Page Setup'. This will bring up the page setup window. Click on the 'Paper Size' tab. Underneath 'Orientation', there are two options, 'Portrait' and 'Landscape'. Click on the 'Landscape' option. A preview of the document will appear on the right. If you are happy with the landscape option, click on 'OK'. This will be applied to your document. You can either start off with a landscape document, or you can change it after you have typed out the contents of the document.

Don't understand or even comprehend all this 'landscape and portrait' nonsense. What's the relevance to those werds and piggin worded documents ey?
This is what absolutely does my bloody 'ed in. EVERYTHING to do with 'puters and all this fancy pants I.T language is totally irrational and bafflingly frustratingly illogical.
