I have both at the moment and ring a bell wherever I go whilst uttering the words unclean.

I don't do Lemsip on principle but do make honey and lemon drinks and chuck paracetamol down my throat. I do remember buying cough candy twists as a child.  They seemed to work then.  I shall go on a hunt for something nice suck on.

Mr C has succumbed he is on paracetamol and whiskey, purely for medicinal reasons.  His cough is something that has to be heard to be believed. Dreadful poor chap.  I would give him sympathy and succour if only I wasn't so knackered.
