On the wireless...
« on: November 29, 2011, 09:25:08 AM »
Just had 'Today' on in the car...

The last item was some pointless discussion about the economy....

They had an 'expert', Carol someone or other (a bloke  eeek:) from some university or other (I forget) giving his opinion...

What the fuck was he on about? Shrugs:

Also, have they changed their 'radio car' mobile studio thingy?
I have heard several interviews/commentators in the last week, stopped because they sounded like Daleks.

Or has the invasion started?  scared2:

TBH I frequently ask myself why I even turn that programme on in the mornings. The answer is usually because (i) That's what the radio alarm is set to (can't take any other channel at that time of day) and (ii) I eagerly await the day when someone twats that smug git John Humphrys on air.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

I just remembered...

On the wireless this morning they were interviewing some bird that has just completed a creative writing course at the UEA...

She said (commenting about writing styles), "even if two people wrote exactly the same book they'd be different"....

Not exactly the same then are they love...?  ::)

Oh and that item about coffee containing too much caffeine?  ::)

James Naughtie was almost hysterical that one coffee shop could serve you a cup with six times more caffeine than another!  NarrowEyes:

Coffee next to be denormalised and a minimum price per mil of caffeine....  Banghead

Of course they are going to vary, its not as if there is one feckin' huuuuge plantation out there that supplies the entire planet. Different beans growing in different environments means that the flavour and caffeine levels are bound to be different and that's even before taking in the roasting and blending processes.

Bunch of feckin' mongs.
