Popped into Sutton as the daughter wanted new shoes. She was just going to run in the shop while I waited just round the corner. On a double yellow line. I turned the engine off but forgot to turn the lights off. Fifteen minutes passed then I noticed the lights were still on. Turn the ignition key...click. Bugger! Then in the mirror I saw a CCTV parking enforcement Smart Car loom up. I approached the two occupants and told them my plight. "You shouldn't have stopped there in the first place". Miserable bastards!

I got a £60 ticket and three points through the post off Bedford Police yesterday morning. Not even a Christmas card, as you said TMR, "miserable bastards!"
