Millions of pounds have been spent on this bloody campaign.  Leaflets will/have been distributed containing recipes that are healthy and cost under £5.00.  This has been done before it did not work then it will not work now.  Stop wasting our money on pointless campaigns. The last time Jamie Oliver lined his pockets this time it is Ainsley Harriot. cussing:
I have always thought that the worst thing about drowning was having to call 'help!' You must look such a fool. It's put me against drowning.

I have my Mum's old book of recipes .... from the days of rationing. Loads of recipes in her own writing.

rubschin: The big difference is that they burned more calories than we do because they didn't have insulated homes, central heating, fitted carpets and cars ~ also labour was more manual, no pushing a few buttons but a lot of lifting, carrying and physical effort.
Put simply they moved around a lot more and burned off the calories keeping busy and keeping warm.

This means that although the wartime rations were loaded with calories people were slimmer.
