So am I missing the point here or is M & S now turning itself into a Oxfam distribution centre ?

Why would you take your old clothes to  M & S when you buy something new ? There is no discount ( however small ) for doing this. This requires you then to take whatever clothes you want to get rid of with you when you go shopping  noooo:  noooo:  noooo:

Most people when they have a clear out take it to their local charity shop   , I can't see how this incentivises anyone to haul it to you local M & S .

Am I being stoopido ?

I wonder how they will cope once they have bags of old tat left outside their shops that get ripped apart and strewn all over the place by local wildlife ( animals and humans alike)  noooo:

We also have loads of these clothes recycling banks located all over the place now ...must be some serious money in this ?  rubschin:

I was gonna post about this, but from a different angle

I use to think Joanna Lumley was perfick, but ever since her extremely laudable efforts for the ex-Ghurkas she seems to have become so "full of herself" and seems to overact so much that she has more or less become a caricature of herself. I've gone from loving listening to her voice to trying to mentally switch off when she comes on the radio or TV. Strange innit  confused:

Two years ago we went to 'The Garden Party With A Difference'  it was held in the grounds of Clarence House.  It was based on 'being green' some bits were very interesting.  The big boys were there, B and Q Marks and Spencer etc. M and S had a tat tent full of clothes and bits of fabric one or two ladies making said fabric into flowers to enliven and re-invent the tat.  It was most strange.

I think it is an attempt to be seen as 'green' and part of the big society. noooo:
