Sitting in pleasant sunshine, tho' cold enough to need jumpers on, in our private lane wiv all the neighbours and various kids I enjoyed a lovely "street party".
Good food and plenty of beer, wine and spirits (for those so inclined). At the end of the evening (we started at 4 and went on until 10) the laydees threw away enough grub to feed a small army!

Somehow we all managed to avoid miss the concert. cloud9:

I have always thought that the worst thing about drowning was having to call 'help!' You must look such a fool. It's put me against drowning.

Watched the edited high lights on the Beeb last evening..... Not a sight of Grace Jones (Thank the Lord). lol:
Some of it good and some bloody awful.  confused:
Elton has completely lost it as has Cliff.  noooo:
Shirley and Tom can still hit the notes.
Not one Comic made me laugh or even smile but Charles made an amusing enough and totally appropriate speech.
Thought the "light show" on the Palace worked well and the climax was good.
