Quote
A bookish intellectual with a strong Christian faith, Kevin Rudd has a slightly dull, even nerdy public persona.

So many Australians will have been surprised to read of his drunken, late-night visit to a New York strip club.

...

In a statement released to reporters, the Labor leader has confirmed he visited the club but cannot recall precisely what happened on the night because he had too much to drink.

He apologised if he had caused any offence and said that he told his wife at the time.

The last wording used in the piece is the most telling in my humble opinion

''Many think it might actually enhance his chances of success.''

There is, apparently, speculation all over the Aussie Press today that this story has been "leaked" in an attempt to ruin his chances of defeating the incumbent PM but many seem to think it will in fact enhance his chances as it shows him to be a "Real Aussie Man". Some have even suggested that it is a double bluff with his people being at the bottom of the leak.
Interesting though ~ I had never heard of him and assumed that the name would be pronounced (In Dutch Fashion) as RUDE but apparently not ~ which kinda spoils the original post but that's life on t'net  ::)

I see that a French paedophile has been prescribed Viagra while in prison. His surname is Evrard!
