Arguments on the bus and a vintage conundrum

Had to make a voyage to a bank in Brighton today which naturally involved a ride on a bus. 

Unsure of the nearest stop I asked the woman next to me which stop I needed for HSBC

Woman: This one (gesturing ahead of the bus towards an approaching bus stop)
Woman 2: No, that is the next one
Woman 1: Same thing
Woman 2: No, the next stop is the one AFTER this one
Woman 1: No it isn't.....

I got off
