Childhood conditioning and rude words
« on: October 10, 2016, 04:47:11 PM »
Belly was not said in our house. It was rude. I had to say tummy instead.

So the hotel menu offers "twice cooked pork belly."

After nearly 60 years since my mum told me belly was rude I cannot bring myself to order it  rubschin:

With such a display of tact and subtlety have you ever considered a career in the foreign office?  lol:
