Whole big story here about registars .....

Originally civil ( ) weddings had to be performed by Major or deputy major ..there are 6? in Paphos area ..so with upto 20 weddings a day 5 days this was impossible ..

So they employed wedding registars ..   about 7 for Paphos ...all worked well ..(they travel to venues not just town hall)..quite professional ...The Majors are power junkies ..and made weddings wait for them !!  I have even seen major lit a ciggie the second he finished in front of Bn G .. ....another bought their screaming crotch goblin to one ..

No one is sure why they have done it ..cash cow etc ..it will limit amount of weddings here ..   killing the golden goose ..

So just to check, you saying they've stopped using registrars because the Grafia were losing out?

Not sure ..all gubberment wallers ..   some power thing ..???   

The venues and hotels have got together to complain ..

They will lose serious dough ...
