For those travelling in N.Wales

Thought you might like this to help combat that Brunstrome twats
( grade A+ merit ) relentless crusade on making your trip in his patch as miserable as possible.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/northeast/sites/speed_cameras/
Just been reading on another forum about some girly who was stopped by one of his comabt jacket, sunglass's wearing henchmen at one of these instant number plate recognition mobile camera sites...probably Queensferry literally FEET into his patch and operating nearly constantly....when she was pulled over for alledgedly having no insurance, because the computer said so.
Despite this poor creatures pleading that she WAS insured, and offered to ring up Direct Line there and then to prove it, they simply dug their bastard heels in, refused to listen and promptly confiscated her car and left her standing on the road side in the rain. End of. eeek: eeek:

It cost her ?150 to retrieve the car from the compound, ?200 fine, and 6 points on her licence!
She pursued the matter, and has now after I don't know how long, received some sort of half cocked apology blaming the computer and the insurance company for not updating their database.
Apparently, 2% of motorists stopped are going to have this same problem. Bloody great in'it? noooo:

This utter utter brunstrome prick needs sacking asap. He is not fit for the purpose intended, and he can take his jack booted over zealous staff with him.
The man is one evil bastard of near Hitler proportions. evil:

Oh. His daughter was let off for her speeding offence though apparently. ::)
I don't know the facts on that one, so p'raps some one could enlighten us on this little gem of information.

Before any one kicks off. I fully support the use of this technology IF it's used with a modicum of common sense.
Uninsured vehicles are a menace on our roads

The daughter...

He is acting like an Inspector in the Traffic Police, zealous to a fault on his one subject.

Overpromoted to Chief Constable, he has yet to discover the virtues of diversity.

It used to be like that in the Gwent police area - what is it about Welsh Chief Constables?

I don't believe they are/were Welsh.  They were probably sent to torture us like the Barons of old whilst serving their own penance in the badlands.

Just an observation but surely they could extort more money by concentrating on the people trying to leave..  drumroll:

That's for Sunday from about lunchtime through to Monday morning. We get them on the way in on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings.

Yesterday, I had to travel into N.Wales TWICE.  evil:
At 9:30 a.m. the N.Wales  plod were 'busy' with their instant number plate recognition van. As I travelled past the roadwerks, plod in his Volvo was desperately trying to manouver his way into the traffic out of the roadwerks main entrance to presumably chase after someone who'd made the 'flag' come up on their monitor.
I could see him chunering and cursing us all as we passed.
Look you black baseball cap wearing, flak jacketed, sunglass's wearing tosser, put your blues on if you're THAT desperate. ::)

7 hours later at 4:30 pm, they were STILL there! eeek:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but are their not any other duties for these pillars of society to be performing sometimes, or would that involve doing some REAL work p'raps, instaed of charging around like Miami bloody Vice. rubschin:

If memory serves me correctly doesnt Dispatches have a link on the Channel 4 site for suggestions for future programs. This sounds like a guarranteed winner for them.

Whilst I appreciate that getting the untaxed and uninsured arseholes off the road is very important, I really do think they spend a tad too much time down there...on average 5 days a week...all bloody day, using up to as many as 6 patrol cars. Easy money I guess, and everyone they 'catch' is usually guilty.

IMO this work should be farmed out to a seperate organisation, and then the plod can do some 'real' work catching terrorists, thieves, thugs, vandals, murderers, anti social yoofs etc., etc.
Bit more of that, and respect might just come back, maybe? rubschin:

Hate to disagree when you are in 'growl' mode but NO.

There should be Police - people that go around sticking their noses into things 'going on' catching villains and upholding the mythical peace.  They are not traffic Wardens or Social Workers. let them do the job they are there for.

Then there should be Traffic Police (distinguishable by a white topped cap - How's that for an idea?) that do nothing else but traffic related patrolling and related matters.  As a motorist myself, I don't like them but do recognise that unless the roads are properly policed then anarchy will reign - in fact I think it already does.  evil:

Agreed but White Topped Traffic Cops are a thing of the past in North Wales where Brumstrom's Troopers all wear black baseball caps, black polo shirts, black body armour and black combat trousers tucked into boots. They look more like French Riot Police than anything else. The "pilot" Sun Glasses are an optional extra but most seem to have adopted them, even when the sun is not shining.
