Heathrow expansion plans expected
« on: November 22, 2007, 06:31:25 AM »
Quote from: BBC Web Shite
Transport Secretary Ruth Kelly is expected to announce plans for a third runway at Heathrow Airport and comment on a possible sixth terminal.

She is likely to say a third, short runway will not breach strict noise and environmental limits.

That’s a done deal then?

What complete arseholes this government are? Strict noise and environmental limits – my arse! It is the most congested and polluted airspace in the country – possibly Europe. When I was over there the other month the jets passed low enough over the house (in Windsor) low enough to shake the windows from 6am, every minute until late at night.

Talk about double standards – thou shalt switch of thy telly lest thine standby current doth destroy the environment. We shalt expand air travel, line our corporate pockets and verily fuck the lot of you.

How much will this farce cost and given the vast number of flights to/from Scotland, Manchester, etc. wouldn’t it have been better to invest in high speed rail; links?
Arseholes – I say burn them!  cussing:

Fair point, well made. I'll collect some kindling then.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.
