Personally I've always argued that the cat collapses the wave function so he never is alive and dead simultaneously.  whistle:

No.

The argument goes that the decay of a particular atom is unpredictable. So there is a probability wave that requires observation to make it collapse to a definite state. I merely say that the cat is the observer.
