Scammer?

Been getting several of these sort of emails lately from various banks who I DON'T have an account with.
Are they scammers trying to gain personal info?
The link works by the way, and all looks very official, but obviously not replying, or p'raps i shouldn't even have clicked on the link?

Too late now anyway. Have I just commited finacial suicide?
The scammers'll be lucky anyway, cus I ain't got no money, and i don't do any internet banking or paying of bills on line of any description whatsoever.

Can I reply to the email with a torrent of obscene abuse and threats of violence, or is that just going to give more info away?

If you reply it will be to a computer somewhere outlandish. They will not read anything other than bank details but you will have confirmed yourself as a "responder" and you will get more and more emails from these people  ~ who are nearly all linked to one another.

I had some of these on a throwaway email account (one I use to catch most of the advertising and spam when I register on sites) so I gave them a 'customer'. After all if these are 401 scammers branching out you could get away with a hell of a lot before they catch on. On balance filling in the form as Gregory Rasputin may have been pushing it though.

NO BANK WILL EVER EMAIL YOU TO YOUR PERSONAL EMAIL ADDRESS ASKING FOR ANY ACCOUNT RELATED INFORMATION.

Looks good that. Just got to work out how to get 'another' email addy now, then the fun will begin.

It you really want the fun to start, once you have a couple of these morons trying it on mention that you also have a friend who would be interested in helping and offer their email address as well giving them the email addy for one of the other scammers.
