He is much improved from when I first took him on!

Corrected for you below. Read:-

He is a shell of a man, uninterested in life, battered into the submission that always result from years of "gentle" nagging, tat accumulation and grand ideas of life outside the picture perfect shagging palace that he was begulied by. He realises that all hope is lost, there will be a wedding, that he has to be there, that everything will be as YOU want it and he will consign himself to a certain life of untoward unreasonableness, tantrums, enforced D.I.Y. and the potential of a pitter-patter of feet that will cost him/you money, sleep, what is left of your will to live and the obligation to be an unpaid cabbie. His stomach and your breasts will sag, the dark patches around your eyes will make you both look like Raccoons, you will start developing a nervous tick anytime you hear English that is not as you would say it, then finally he/you will develop a love for gardening.

All that, and in Wales too...

Sadly this all sounds too familiar.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

And his stomach? (I shan't ask about the other)
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

His stomach is larger than it once was, so I wouldn't say it was sagging.  redface:

But as he was replying to Nick wouldn't Bungle have been more appropriate?  whistle:
The universe is run by the complex interweaving of three elements. Energy, matter, and enlightened self-interest.
