Work from home ~ no "Going to work" related costs and you get an allowance from the taxman for using PART of your home for business purposes (you can write of part of your heat and light bills etc) BUT make sure you are not breaking the terms of your lease. Usually tenants cannot work from home if it means that customers have to visit the house but in these days of internet trading that would not be necessary.

What type of work etc? he would never get anything done with the wii an ps3 sitting here!
My friend next door used to do childminding her landlord was fine, sure would be no probs here but wouldent want people knocking on door etc!  ::)

EBay! I know at least three people in this village who are making full time money at it.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

So we are all selling tat to one another online to make cash?

Dealers in the City buy and sell thin air on screens.

World food shortage (allegedly)  and SFA being made in this country.

Is this, um, "sustainable"? rubschin:

One of those I know on Ebay does sell tat. She makes stuff and flogs it. Another one turned his obsession with classic cars into a "Find and flog you" spares for classics. He haunts these classic car rallies buying up old badges, door handles, bumpers .... all the bits and pieces and then advertises them on Ebay. Sends out up to 20 parcels a day. Has given up work to do it full time. Has wife and two kids. Just booked an expensive holiday for them all. He has been doing this for three years now, says it was tough to start with but now as many people contact him to flog bits off of ""breakers" as want to buy. He just sits in the middle and makes a profit. The third just taps the side of his nose and winks when you ask what he flogs.
It seems to work.

Presumably being in Wales they are also drawing all the state benefits as well.

They are in Wales but they are all English.
The Welsh haven't the nous to do anything for themselves ~ they sit around and complain a lot though.

Carrying on from that thought ~ Wales is actually a good place to be if you want to sell some things, write, paint etc. People love the "Ethnic" aspect of a Welsh address as we have found when selling home made soap amongst other things. Certainly products that we have made and sold from here are the same as they were before we left Herts but the take-up is far greater.
rubschin: I sometimes think that the customers assume that being in Wales they are "scoring" over you because they assume you are thick. whistle: Suits me.
