"Unfortunately, Your Honour, the accused tripped and fell down the stairs to the cells ~ his face striking  each of the thirteen steps on the way from top to bottom"  whistle:

How many times have I heard Met Police Officers use that one?

Another classic heard in Snaresbrook Magistrates Court was "The Accused became violent, forcing me to draw my baton, as I did so his face collided with it, several times".

All this was of course pre Blair.

The four members of the Johnson family, from Gloucestershire, and a man who is the partner of a family member, operated across several counties.

Bigger change of wording.

And they moved counties.  ;D
