London Bus Drivers Strike
« on: August 29, 2008, 07:14:31 AM »
It seems that up to two and a half thousand bus drivers are going to strike in support of their pay demands.
Fair 'nuff I suppose if you are paid a pittance and the nasty bosses won't give you more but hold on a minute. They are demanding £30K per annum ~ for driving a bus for 39 hours a week  eeek: You could train chimps to do that.

I wonder how much of this is because Red Ken promised them the earth ~ to be paid for out of his ridiculous idea of increasing the congestion charge to £25 a day on certain vehicles ~ and now that Boris is in charge and has scrapped that excessive charge they are trying to make a political point.

Why do we always end up with this sort of carry on from all points of the labour market when a Labour Government has been in the driving seat for a few years?

They do.

It is the chimps that are on strike.

£30k or 15 bananas a day, thats what they are demanding.
