My Google calendar says it starts on a Sunday ~ but my filofax and the year planner on the wall places Monday firmly at the start of each week. The vexed question of which day starts the week has led to many an argument in Snoopy Towers over the years.
When gainfully employed I never actually felt the week got underway until Wednesday when I could at least see the weekend looming but my upbringing of "6 days shalt thou labour and on the seventh thou shalt rest" coupled with the old Sunday Trading laws have always led me to argue that the first day of the week is Monday when the 6 days of labour recommence. Needless to say that Mrs S#2 disagrees but then she is Jewish by birth (but not by religion).
I do happily accept that some religions prefer to have their day of rest (Sabbath) on a Saturday, although to be accurate it is from sunset on Friday until sunset on Saturday.
But what thinks the team? ....... Does the week start today (Monday) or did it commence yesterday?
