Bastard Cyber Junk Mail!
« on: June 16, 2007, 03:54:35 AM »
Why do I keep getting these cryptic messages from strangers who seem to be so concerned about my sex life, health, financial status, penis size and stockmarket holdins?

I don't reply to any of them, but must admit I was sorely tempted to try a "replica watcher".
But WTH, I think I can get a real one locally, for nohing ...

Bert Scroggins says, "Have I got BIGGER for You."
Marina Fried ... "Best replica watchers."
Serena Kransky ... "She will thank you."
Shannon Pratie ... "She is not a Frowzie."
Dierde Sandbag ... "beware of fake pills."
Jean Darcy ... "I cure enny desease!"

Guess I'll never know ... sad24:

I read an article in the IT press yesterday that 50% of the world's spam comes out of the USA and is the product of vast arrays of zombie-networks which is real peoples computers that have been infected with Trojans or whatnots and controlled remotely.  These people are too stupid to protect their own computers and interestingly, the result of that is the rest of the world is presented with a complete list of idiots.

Curious then, that the worlds most stupid people also seem to have the world's stupidest names.

Is there a lesson to be learned here for all the Lori and Baz Chlamydias of our country?

There may be, but could they? I don't think so.

Of course, the governments of the world could cure the problem quite quickly ? the technology is surely available to do so. You do something illegal? on the tinterweb like sharing DVD files or ?hacks? for Sky TV and you?ll be shut-down before you can say ?firewall?.

Yes spammers are rarely targeted ? why is that?

My belief is that spam is actually good for global business ? increased tinterweb traffic means global telecos invest more in infrastructure, more production means more employment means more test equipment to but means more employment, etc.

Plus everybody?s PC is clagged-up with spam and anti-virus software which means they need a new PC which means more employment means more test equipment to but means more employment, etc.

Cynicism is my middle name!

However, I?ve become more and more convinced that ?growth? is the overriding concern of governments world-wide?

Is that anything like 'enlargement'?
I get a lot of e-mails about that.
I mostly despair
