So far this morning I have heard three different people on the programme use the expression "Going forward" ~ WTF is that all about? A most annoying expression that seems to have crept into "City Speak" n recent months and has now been taken up by the politicians.
ALSO
Why do Stourton and Humphrys have to continually interupt answers when it is plain that they are not getting the response they are angling for? Are we interested in their opinions coming to the fore or would we not prefer them to shut up and let the interviewees either speak the truth or hang themselves by not doing so? It is not just the rudeness but the insult to the listener's intelligence that is pissing me off ~ but what is the alternative source of morning news? Time for a change of personnel I feel .... It is the news story that counts not the presenters own prejudice that interests me.

And "written a report to examine the issues going forward" means what exactly?


They think it means ~ "I predict" but it doesn't because it is pure gobbledegook  cussing:


And interrupting someone who has only uttered three or four words of their answer is pure bloody rudeness.

Sack the lot! ~ Stourton has BTW  been sacked from next October which is a GOOD THING IMHO apparently because he is considered too pompous (which is true although I would have described him as so far up his own arse as to be able to use the bidet as a mouth wash)

"going foward" is a way of saying that we ballsed up in the past but now we've been found out we might not balls it up in the future.

Even worse than "Pushing the envelope"

My old MD used to use any such expression that he picked up. One of his favourites was "Let me run this up the pole and see who salutes".

I once got into a lot of trouble for p*ss taking by saying in a meeting "I have an idea to run up the flagpole and see if any foreskins get tugged" ~ On reflection perhaps it would have been better to have said "Forelocks get tugged" but you know how it is when you get a silly idea.
