An Interesting Discovery
« on: September 20, 2009, 11:04:38 AM »
Take boys to barbers, I am wearing jeans, they are calling me "Dad". They have haircuts @ £4.50 each. Loads of hair on the floor as they are reluctant visitors to the barber. I have a haircut £5.50 (not so much hair of the floor ~ I say this is because it is white and you can't see it, they say it's because there isn't much to cut these days).

I go to same barbers on my own (as I tend to visit twice to their once), not wearing jeans and I get charged £4.50 PENSIONERS RATE

rubschin: Not sure whether to be pleased at saving a quid or pissed off at being aged up by three years.

I have stopped tipping her now 'cos if I were a pensioner I could not afford to and, as I am not a pensioner, she deserves no tip for guessing wrongly about my age.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

Mine was caused by putting down a new lawn yesterday morning.

33 sq yards of turf. Ground was ready prepared, flattened and raked, stones removed etc. Final dressing of sharp sand and then the turf. Well watered in after laying and then again last evening. More water this morning and another soaking later.

Thank heavens for that young Snoops a lawn is for life you  know, not just for Christmas.  Worse still is the thought of you demeaning the poor thing, insulting it taking away it's dignity, just not on chap, not on at all...

I didn't get where I am today without knowing how to create a garden.

It's just that we have been here 8 years and SWWLTBO wanted it done NOW!

And what the little woman wants she must have. No doubt, if matters run true to previous experience, she will soon be wanting my absence, once everything she wants doing to the house and garden has been done that is.  ::)
