Most superstitious names
« on: September 21, 2009, 02:35:00 PM »
Damien, Myra and Carrie are Britain's most feared and mistrusted names due to superstitious and dark associations.

Three quarters of respondents said they would avoid dating someone with the name Damien and 66 percent of women said they were superstitious about naming a child after someone they hated at school or an ex-boyfriend.

A top 10 list of superstitious names follows:

1) Damien 90 %

2) Myra 83 %

3) Carrie 76 %

4) Rosemary 73 %

5) Judas 69 %

6) Adolf 65 %

7) Pandora 63 %

8 ) Regan 60%

9) Samara 50 %

10) Boris 41 %

....note that Peter, Tony and Gordon, the other unholy trinity , do not figure as yet. Maybe that will be a matter of time  rubschin:

But what film has the name Nick starred in that would put you off ever wanting to be around anyone of that name....I can't think of one  rubschin:

As for naming your child after an ex - boyfriend ...if he isn't the father then I think the actual father might have something to say about that  noooo:
