Yet again, above the law
« on: October 04, 2009, 11:11:35 AM »
""I'm Harriet Harman ? you know where you can get hold of me".

Source here

No doubt this will be passed off as yet another minor indescetion, but when is somebody going to be brave enough to make an example of one of these bastards. They don't give a single **** what any of us think.

OK, the allegation is talking, not texting, here's where a minor indescretion can lead

rubschin: But at the moment we only have one person's word that the Driver said "I'm Harriet Harman etc" and Ms Harman says it wasn't her.
Perhaps we should wait for some further proof

I'm about a hundred yards from being one of her constituents; I've met my MP on several occasions and in spite of disagreements found her to be well informed, intelligent, supportive, understanding and very personable.

God knows what I would do if I met Harman; I know that many who live where she lives find her despicable. Of course she doesn't live where her voters live... she couldn't hack it. The clock's ticking Harriet ...  evil:

From the Sunday Telegraph and IMHO best quote of the week:
"I happened to go to the same school (St Pauls) as the Deputy Leader of the Labour Party (Harriet Harman) but that's not a point she makes very often" Shadow Chancellor George Osborne

So much for the "Tory Toffs" taunts then Harriet.

PS I like her family connections:

Quote
Harman has notable family connections. Her father was a brother of Elizabeth Longford, the writer who wrote biographies of, amongst others, Queen Victoria and Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington. Lady Longford was married to Francis Pakenham, 7th Earl of Longford, the lawyer and social reformer. Harman's first cousins include the writers Thomas Pakenham, Lady Rachel Billington and the historian Lady Antonia Fraser. Fraser was married to Harold Pinter, and was once married to the politician Sir Hugh Fraser and is the mother of Flora Fraser, another writer. Also, Harman's great-grandparents were Arthur Chamberlain and Louisa Kenrick. Arthur Chamberlain was the brother of Joseph Chamberlain, the social reformer and radical politician who served under Gladstone and Salisbury. Louisa's cousin Harriet married Joseph Chamberlain and they were the parents of Sir Austen Chamberlain, who served as Chancellor of the Exchequer and Foreign Secretary. Louisa Kenrick's sister Florence married Joseph Chamberlain after Harriet's death and they were the parents of Neville Chamberlain, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1937-1940.

Harman has three sisters, Sarah, Janet and Virginia

In May 2009, tabloid newspaper The Sun published a discovery by amateur genealogist Tony Andrews that Harman is related to David Cameron through her aunt's marriage to his great uncle.
