The Brat handed me over a letter from the school this morning

I have only just had chance to read it

Apparently in an effort to improve school discipline children are now banned from running in the playground. Anyone caught committing this heinous crime will be given detention  eveilgrin:

How fffing ridiculous - I shall be making my feelings known to the school on Monday.

That is their answer to everything ~ DETENTION ............ even if it is unenforcable because it would cause children to miss the school bus so they say "You'll have to stay in at lunchtime" .... which most kids want to do at this time of the year anyway  noooo:

As for not running in the playground .... prolly an over-reaction to some small child having been knocked over and hurt by larger kids running. That is the usual but they will dress it up not as a complaint from a parent but a "Elfin safety measure" ... ? to a pinch that they will have a risk assessment to prove their case.
