I was sitting in the doctors surgery last night when they were ringing round offering it to people. Not one single person took it up during the 45 minutes I was sitting there.

Apparently the vaccine comes batched in tens and the health professionals are reluctant to open a batch unless they can use all ten shots  ::)

Meanwhile arm is still sore (no more so than with any other vaccination) but otherwise no problems to report.

On balance I would not have had it but for the "underlying health issues" which made me think that a few days of a sore arm and other minor side effects might be better than a serious illness or even death should I catch the swine flu, which given my kids bring just about every known ailment home each winter, was almost certain to happen.

Although now the two boys are at home you should have considerably less germs coming in!

But in general, yes I agree with you, best to have it. Mr Wench is waiting for his call and when it arrives he will be having it too.

Boys still meet hundreds of other kids through their "social activities" that include: Cubs, Scouts, Swimming Club, Fencing Club, Badminton Club, Band Practice ............................... then of course there is the THW about whom least said the better at the moment  evil:

Just being herself ~ who apparently I "have never taken the trouble to get to know" .... despite me having been the one who "caught her at first slip" as she popped into the world, gave her her first cuddle and bath, nursed her through many night's teething, changed many a sh*tty nappy, held her little hand as she took her first steps etc etc etc. She'll grow out of it ............. If she lives that long  evil:

Update - arm stopped hurting on Monday.
A couple of very sleepless nights, was feeling very hot.
Tiredness and fatigue also eased on Monday, more or less back to normal now - that was about a week altogether.

Sound like you've had pigs flue to me matey. lol:

I now await your updates before deciding what to do. Problee won't bother tbh. That's my feeling at the mo anyway.
Must admit, I've not heard of many succumbing to its delights around here of late. noooo:
