Inappropriate touch of a Gynaecologist

A gynaecologist gave a patient a 'leg-buckling orgasm' on the examination table as a nurse stood just feet away, a court has been told.



The internal examination on November 30, 2006, at Droitwich Spa Hospital took place six weeks after her surgery for a prolapse - a common condition in older women.

A nurse was also present at the consultation. Miss Christina Lambert QC, representing Mr Thomson, suggested to Mrs Giles that: 'You had two incidents of climax, orgasms or involuntary reactions.'

She responded: 'I cannot control my body. He was stroking me and my leg just buckled.
'I felt that it was wrong - but I didn't know if this is the way gynaecologists examined the patient after the operation.

'When I left the room there was no doubt that the conversation and touch was sexual. I didn't want to say anything as I was still under his care.'

Miss Lambert added: 'You say he has taken advantage of the therapeutic examination to abuse you.'
Quantity surveyor's wife Mrs Giles, fighting back tears, replied: 'That is exactly what he did. He abused me.

'I told my husband - I rang him at work, I was crying on the phone. I told him how I reacted, how my leg buckled. It felt like an orgasm.'
 

Someone has just guaranteed his patient list at least doubling by this time next week
