I'd normally expect those sort of ridiculous comments from the willy waving I.T. brigade though.

I'm with you. I have digi boxes on both TVs. They take so long to catch up with a channel change that I think they have failed and I am pushing buttons like mad and bellowing for new batteries for the remote. But it's what we have to live with because you just can't buy anything else these days.
