BM and TMR's TT thread

Have you two bike nutters been watching this years TT on ITV 4 then?

I'm absolutely amazed these bikes can actually move considering the weight the riders must be carrying in their Y fronts! eeek:

Do they actually have their fear fuse's removed from their brains before a race too like?

Top admiration to them, even though I'm not too fussed on 'bikes

Heroes, each and every one of them.

I've done a fair bit of circuit racing but that's safe - if you come off you slide in a gravel trap and will generally just get bruised.

These nutters are doing over 200mph in places and have stone walls, telegraph poles and all manner of generally very terminal things to hit.

A brief snippet. Note how the front wheel seems to wantto spend most of it's time in the air - not helpful when you need to turn to avoid a farmhouse.

Actually makes me feel a bit sea sick watchung that and the stuff on the tv.

Awesomely dangerous with zero room for mistakes.
Go off at those speeds, and you're dead. Simple as that.

Most entertaining to watch though all the same.

Can't believe you haven't been Moanyio. noooo:
Absolute heaven I'd have thought.

Not nice, at all.

Thi is one of the things I don't like about bikes. Zero protection if it all goes horribly wrong.

Coming off my mountain bike at about 30 mph when the chain snapped going downhill on the main road leading into Llanwertwyd Wells back in '87 still makes me shiver and shudder to this day, remembering that dreadful  feeling of being totally 100% out of control as the road rushed up to me.
I won't go on about the consequences of the fall, but its affected my entire life ever since.
