What on earth happens to these messages if you press send ....?

Do they ever, ever do anything about them ? Seems totally pointless to me so why keep it in as a software feature. Happens in Word, Excel , Explorer all the time  Shrugs:

I can only assume that they do look at them, it's the only explanation as to why Microsoft issue so many bloody updates!  cussing:

I've long believed that its Microsoft's way of saving money. Normally when software is developed there is a period of beta testing in order to find the bugs and make sure that it is working as well as possible before releasing it. On the other hand, when it comes to Microsoft, we are the beta testers and pay them for the 'privilege'

Sometimes 9although very rarely I must say) pressing the 'send' button results in a link to a solution...

More often than not the solution is 'this software is nothing to do with us, get an update from your supplier'...  ::)

And then lo and behold, in the next hotfix/service patch a solution will quietly appear.
