So you mustn't take your children out of school before the end of term. This is a crime worthy of instant punishment , fines , reporting to local authority etc.

The Brat's last day of term ,before the summer holidays, was meant to be next Friday - 23rd July. This is the published timetable and we are asked to abide by this.

So when we receive a letter this week that some of the building work they want to do at the school , they plan to start early , next Wednesday to be precise, they suddenly revise the timetable to finish on the 20th July.

Then madam comes home last night with a letter from her teacher saying that on Monday and Tuesday next week they will be going to look at trees in Hyde park ...but that this is optional   - You can imagine The Brat's reaction. She also said the techers were positivley discouraging anyone from going ( but she would say that) .

So effectively today becomes the last day of term. Teachers get a whole other week of 'holiday'  and The Brat has an extra week of chaos, expense and damages to cause

Very limited shopping opportunities, cinemas are miles away, some "penny" arcades

And with only 17 teachers sacked for incompetence in the last 5 years throughout the whole of the UK just how much notice do you think the LEA is going to take of a letter from "Disgusted of Sarf London"?
